The Gallery at Blandford Avenue, Oxford would be delighted to welcome you to a drinks reception on 22 April 6-8pm with a talk by Dr Peter Maber, where Maak will be previewing a selection of pots by Bernard Leach and Leach Potters.
Bernard Leach: Drawings at the Cambridge Book and Print Gallery is the first ever selling exhibition of Bernard Leach’s drawings, comprising work from throughout Leach’s life that has never been seen before. The 35 drawings are mostly in pen, ink and wash, many on handmade Japanese papers, and were drawn in Japan, China, St Ives, and America. We are also showing a selection of Leach-related pottery, including pots by Leach’s first apprentice William Marshall, and by the last potter to work under Leach, Trevor Corser. Prices of works in the show range from £100 to £2000, with most of the drawings priced between £500 and £1500.
