Dan Kelly

(British b.1935)

Dan Kelly trained at Camberwell School of Arts, and still lives and works in Camberwell. He works in both stoneware and porcelain, making thrown forms which he then manipulates by hand, cutting and reshaping, or squeezing and tearing the forms. He favours a predominantly monochrome aesthetic, using dark metallic oxides and dry glazes to decorate his thrown and altered pots.
